Badri Management Consultancy announces the launch of the ‘Badri Scholarship Program’, an initiative aimed at helping actuarial students in supporting their actuarial examinations.
The scholarships are open for students currently enrolled in their 3rd and 4th year, in the Department of Actuarial Science & Risk Management at the University of Karachi. Badri will award 10 scholarships each year to the shortlisted individuals under this program to pursue their actuarial papers. In addition to providing scholarships, Badri has also partnered with Coaching Actuaries to provide ADAPT those shortlisted so that they can effectively prepare for the exams.
The cornerstone of this program is to provide an opportunity to further actuarial interest amongst students who do not have the financial means to support their own studies while at University. Badri has been working actively in Pakistan and the MENA region to develop, train and expand the actuarial industry. Badri believes in exploring the potential that these students have and hopes to encourage students to pursue actuarial papers while in University.
The Managing Director of Badri – Hatim Maskawala says “We noticed that there are many talented individuals who can progress quickly in exams even before entering the job market. However, they are limited by the costs involved and by the time they start working with a company who is willing to reimburse them for the costs of studies they are already behind in terms of competitiveness. In order to encourage and support them we have started this scholarship and hopefully the number of students covered will grow from 10 this year to more in future years. “
