BADRI Open House 2024
On 23rd September 2024, BADRI Management Consultancy hosted an Open Public Forum at Pearl Continental Hotel in Karachi, bringing together students from renowned universities for career counseling and spreading awareness about the actuarial profession.
The event featured a Panel Discussion with experts Hasham Piperdy, FIA, Shahpur Agha, Nouman Rafiq, and Faheem Zaidi, moderated by Mirza Muhammad Ali, who shared deep insights into their respective fields.
Representatives from various actuarial bodies spoke about their institutions. Zain Ibrahim from Society of Actuaries, Paul Sweeting from Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, Ronald T. Kozlowski from Casualty Actuarial Society and Muhammad Usama Dangra from Pakistan Society of Actuaries provided invaluable guidance on professional societies and exam pathways, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and development.
To offer a practical perspective on actuarial work, an Actuarial Panel Discussion with Shifa Dandia, ASA, Aliya Zubair, Ali Faraz, Mohammad Shahzain Farid, and Farhan K.., moderated by Hareem Ghaffar, answered live questions from students, clarifying career paths and emerging industry trends.
BADRI also acknowledged the support of academic representatives from the Institute of Business Administration, Institute of Business Management, CAMS – College of Accounting and Management Sciences, NED University of Engineering and Technology, and Karachi University, who contributed to nurturing the next generation of professionals. The event was a testament to BADRI’s commitment to empowering young professionals and fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
